Pierrot (deep sky)
The truth appears from ivory depths,
but it bears no meaning with both of us speaking.
As if nothing was said,
so slowly you disappear.
But I hear you so clearly,
in memories nearly deafening.
Here in December,
it's hard to remember what I loved about spring.
shake the snow globe / deep sky unfold / make that pierrot sing
“When that day comes, I'll still do your makeup.
I'll paint the perfect tears-
Don't let them run down your face.”
I tried not to wake you
when I left you this morning.
The promise of dawn came
through a soft pink sunrise.
I stood in our bedroom
a few seconds or lifetimes…
Whispered ‘au revoir’, not ‘goodbye’.
Kaleidoscope skies
collide with the sea.
A horizon blue and pink-
deep sky hyacinthine.
& when the sky cracked
I felt it crack in me.
My eyes began to bleed.
A pierrot must sing.
Shake the snowglobe;
every trace of who we were
is swallowed by the sky.
But I'll carry our memories.
The warmth of the day light,
The softness of shadows:
Morning bleeds in through
holes in the blinds.
A carousel spinning,
beside me you're smiling.
My horse descends as you rise…
I stood in our bedroom
a few seconds or lifetimes.
Whispered ‘au revoir’, not ‘goodbye’...
